NC Program Post Processor
Definition:
A post processor is like a translator that takes instructions from a computer program, typically called “CAM” (Computer Aided Machining), written in a language called APT or Cutter Location Data, and converts them into a different language, called G-code or NC code, that a manufacturing machine can understand. Think of it as turning a recipe written in French into English so a chef who only speaks English can follow it. These instructions tell the machine exactly how to move and cut materials to create parts, ensuring the machine works precisely as intended.
